An inspiring and engaging literary programme celebrating young creative writers was organised by the Gitanjali Multilingual Literary Circle at India in UK (Consulate General of India, Birmingham) on 18 July 2026.

The event brought together young poets, writers, and artists who showcased their creativity and passion for Hindi and other Indian regional languages. Consul (CPV), Mr Vivek Agarwal, attended the programme and congratulated the young participants for their remarkable literary talent and contribution towards promoting Indian languages and cultural heritage in the United Kingdom.

The programme celebrated India’s rich linguistic diversity and highlighted the growing appreciation and relevance of Hindi and regional languages among younger generations in the UK. It provided an encouraging platform for over 30 young British writers and artists to present their original works, express their creativity, and connect with India’s vibrant literary traditions.

The Consulate General of India, Birmingham, continues to support initiatives that promote Indian languages, literature, and cultural exchange, strengthening the connection between India and the UK through the shared values of creativity, knowledge, and heritage.
